Merging urban sophistication with a relaxed suburban attitude, Metro Lafayette is a stylish destination serving big city food. With the largest outdoor patio in the East Bay, it's the perfect place for socially-distanced al fresco dining amongst mulberry trees, kitchen garden herbs and trellised vines. Metro has repeatedly been honored with the prestigious Michelin Guide Recommendation and is Zagat-rated.

The menu features an eclectic mix of seasonal California-French dishes such as West Coast Oysters on the half shell with champagne mignonette; Croque Monsieur with French ham & Gruyere; Dungeness Crab Salad on butter lettuce with navel orange, grapefruit and lemon citronette; Liberty Farm Duck Confit with cannellini beans & watercress pistou; and Braised Short Ribs with Anson Mills white grits, roasted winter vegetables & gremolata.

Metro offers an extensive wine list that appeals to all budgets and palates. The contemporary interior, by Berkeley-based designers Sheahan + Quandt, make diners feel like they've ventured out of suburbia. Having spent much of his career managing the front of the house for celebrity chefs in northern California and Las Vegas, owner Jack Moore's vision is to offer innovative dishes and refined service in a sophisticated environment. A full bar, raw bar, and outdoor patio (voted among the top 10 restaurant patios in the San Francisco Bay Area by Open Table diners) anchor the space. Metro's talented culinary team creates dishes that impress locals as well as those venturing east of the Caldecott.
